If you are a lover of skiing then you will definitely want to know more about the British Ski and Board Show. It is coming to the NEC at Birmingham later on this year, and unbelievably it will be twenty one years old when it arrives.
Throughout the last twenty years it has been THE place to go for anyone interested in skiing and boarding, and this year – its 21st year – it looks set to continue that tradition.
If you have never been before, you’ll be amazed by what you can see there. It’s a great place to go for equipment, skis and everything else you need as a skier or snowboarder. If you are new to skiing, or you have been going for years and you just need to renew some of your equipment, this could be just the place to do it. With plenty of exhibitors and plenty of people to ask advice from, the British Ski and Board Show is normally the best place to go to get advice and buying information for all kinds of items.
But what else do they have to offer? Well, you can enjoy watching some great freestyle skiing skills as well. Some of the biggest names in aerial skiing today will be at the show this year, to give you a display of what they do best! And yes, they will have ski slopes there for them to use, although they won’t be made of the real stuff. You can enjoy the various aerial acrobatics they are preparing to show you while you are there.
So what else can you expect to find at the show? If you want to take to the slopes yourself you can do that too. There is an interactive slope that will be manned by experienced instructors. That means that if you want to find out how to improve your skills and get better before going abroad to the real snow, the British Ski and Board Show offers you the chance to do it for free.
They aren’t making any charges for lessons at the event; all you have to do is book up and get going! This is wonderful for anyone who loves skiing or is thinking of starting it up for the first time.
There is no doubt that the organisers of this show are putting a lot of thought and effort into what you can find there. And it doesn’t seem to matter whether you are an experienced skier or someone who is thinking of strapping those skis on for the very first time. There is more than enough at the show to keep everyone entertained and educated.
The show is on at the Birmingham NEC starting on Friday 30th October and concluding on Sunday 1st November. If you like the sound of it, check out the NEC website – or simply Google the show itself – to find out more information. You could soon be skiing down a slope inside the NEC!
